BADGER workshop at the ERF 2019

BADGER workshop at the ERF 2019

The BADGER project is organizing a workshop in the European Robotics Forum 2019 (ERF2019), entitled “Applications for Intelligent trenchless underground robotic systems”.

Workshop overview

The aim of the workshop is to present and discuss the future applications of the BADGER Robot; a robot for autonomous underground trenchless operations, mapping and navigation. This autonomous robot is designed to drill conductions of small diameter for piping and inspection of existing underground infrastructure in urban environments. Using ultrasonic boring and geo-radar navigation technologies, the trenchless operations will help to increase the quality of life of pedestrians and inhabitants of new eco-based cities. The prospected applications can be extended to evaluation of environmental issues like soil sample gathering, rescue, rapid intervention, security, exploration, etc.
